Touring with special guest Glen Hansard (the Swell Season, the Frames), Vedder will get the party started in Providence, R.I. on June 15 and keep it going across the country until landing in Seattle exactly one month later. Also etched into Vedder's solo agenda: the May 31 release of a DVD entitled 'Water on the Road,' which captures a pair of performances in Washington, D.C. during his 2008 solo tour, backing the soundtrack album 'Into the Wild.'
But don't let Vedder's new ukulele pursuits fool you -- Pearl Jam is still reportedly heading into the studio this spring, with their first major self-produced festival planned for this summer, in conjunction with their big 20th anniversary celebration. Other festivities -- including a documentary directed by Cameron Crowe and catalog reissues -- are in the cards.
In other words, get ready for Eddie Vedder overload this year. And that's probably a good thing.
