Gomez Announce New Album and Tour

Great news for Gomez fans. The quintet have announced a new album, 'Whatever's on Your Mind', will see release in June to coincide with a run of dates in the UK.

If that's not enough, the project's first single, an irresistible horn-tinged shuffle called 'Options,' can be had today via the group's official website.

"Hello dear friends! We're ready," singer Tom Gray writes in an email blast to fans this morning announcing the news. "Damn this state of readiness is killing me."

Aside from the unveiling of "Options" and Gray calling the forthcoming disc -- which comes out in Europe on June 6, in Australia on June 10 and in North America and the rest of the world on 21 -- "unbelievably great", little else is yet known about the recording.

In related news, various members of the group have solo and collaborative dates set for the rest of March and April. Ben Ottewell will play a sold out gig tonight in Chicago in support of his recent solo album 'Shapes and Shadows', before he joins Gray and Ian Ball for a handful of US shows. Ottewell will then take on a solo gig in Los Angeles before heading to Australia for nine dates.
