"Of course I was blessed to get my own holiday, man," Trae tells Spinner. "I came from the streets of Houston, so a lot of people never understood why I used to be out in the streets so much or why I used to deal with a lot of the gangs and stuff."
Trae Day is celebrated once a year in Houston, during which the emcee brings schools supplies, games and a free concert to children in need. The rapper also reveals that he has other plans for his highly anticipated upcoming album, 'Tha Truth.'
"You're the first person I'm gonna tell this to. I think I'm gonna put 'Tha Truth' on hold," he says. "I've been thinking the last couple of days of a new title for a new album cause I think I hit another hunger in the industry right now, I mean within this industry, so I think I want to put out the album that I'm currently working on. I'm still trying to come up with a name for it. 'Tha Truth' is timeless music so I can always put that out."
