UNKLE Team With Duke Spirit's Liela Moss for 'The Dog Is Black' -- Song Premiere

It's become fairly commonplace for bands to follow up albums with expanded editions that feature a few B-sides, alternate versions and demos. Rather than do that, British electro stalwarts UNKLE went back to the studio and recorded 'Only the Lonely,' a brand-new EP to accompany the rereleased version of their 2010 full-length 'Where Did the Night Fall.'

Featuring guest appearances by Nick Cave and Gavin Clark, the EP -- which will accompany the 'Another Night Out' deluxe edition of 'Where Did the Night Fall' -- features a standout vocal performance by Duke Spirit frontwoman Liela Moss on the dark, charging cut 'The Dog Is Black.'

"I'm really pleased to be working with Liela Moss again, who we collaborated with on 'War Stories,' UNKLE's James Lavelle tells Spinner. "Being one of our favourite female artists, we wanted to do something different with her this time. 'The Dog Is Black' is the result of our collaboration: A sleazy, driving, club track laden with Arabic percussion built around a haunting vocal from Liela for a standout track on our forthcoming EP."

The 'Only the Lonely' EP is due out April 5 from Surrender All Records, and the 'Another Night Out' expanded edition of 'Where Did the Night Fall,' which features a new 32-page booklet and other rare songs, will be released soon after (the official release date has yet to be announced).
