Their upcoming album, 'Codes and Keys,' out May 31, has been bravely touted by the band as a keyboard-heavy homage to Brian Eno's experimental classic 'Another Green World.' On Monday, the record's richly-textured first single 'You Are a Tourist' debuted on SoundCloud.
On Tuesday, the band announced an even crazier development: the 'Tourist' video will premiere on the web live as it is being filmed in real time. It presumably won't be just a performance video as one might expect. The video is indeed scripted and will reportedly be filmed/aired in a single take on April 5 at 7PM ET at www.YouAreATourist.com.
On the same day, Bing and Facebook will be posting behind-the-scenes photos from the video shoot at this link. The video is being directed by Tim Nackashi (Radiohead, OK Go, TV on the Radio) and assisted conceptually by Aaron Stewart-Ahn (DCFC, the Decemberists).
