Foo Fighters to Simulcast Live 3D Concert in Cinemas Nationwide

Already making good on their promise to make 2011 the year of the Foo Fighters, the band has unveiled details for their previously announced theatrical release -- a documentary entitled 'Foo Fighters: Back and Forth,' but, as with all things Foo as of late, the announcement brings additional surprises. The film's one-night-only theatrical showing will take place at cinemas across America on April 5, with the international dates to be announced.

That is what it is, but here's the real surprise: the film will be followed by a live 3D concert from the band, performing their new album 'Wasting Light' in its entirety. How's that for taking it up a notch? The album itself will be released on April 12 and, in the meantime, a vehicle known as the White Limo will be driving cross country, bumping 'Wasting Light' loudly over a PA system.

'Foo Fighters: Back and Forth' was produced by Nigel Sinclair and directed by Academy Award winner James Moll, and if the trailer below is any indication, it looks super dope.
