Now, fans can get a new look at the band during its years on the road with Larry Marion's book, 'The Lost Beatles Photographs: The Bob Bonis Archive, 1964-1966.' The collection features photographs taken by Bob Bonis, who served as a touring manager for the Beatles and Rolling Stones and snapped over 3,500 pictures of the bands. Bonis, who died in 1992, rarely allowed any of his pictures to be published but thanks to a collaboration with his son, Alex, and Marion, many of these captivating images are finally seeing the light of day.
As Marion reveals in a Huffington Post article, the book includes pictures of the band traveling between gigs, goofing off backstage and performing during their three US tours (including the one above, which was snapped at a Minnesota show where Bonis was the only photographer at stage level).
'The Lost Beatles Photographs' is available now via HarperCollins publishers, as is Marion's 'The Lost Rolling Stones Photographs: The Bob Bonis Archive 1964-1966.'
