The band has announced they'll be playing the Latitude festival on July 16, while the following night they'll be performing a headline set at London's Somerset House. So far these are the only planned My Morning Jacket shows due to take place in Europe this year.
In the lead up to the release of 'Circuital', the band has announced they will be making available a series of free downloads -- live tracks taken from each of their shows at New York's Terminal 5 last October -- via their official website with the final download set to be the title track of their new record.
Speaking ahead of their sixth album's release, frontman Jim James revealed the band relocated to a church gymnasium in their hometown of Louisville, Ky., to record the 10-track album which is set for a June 6 release. James explained (via the NME), "I hate the phrase 'going back to our roots', but for this record we came home and made it in Kentucky. It just felt a lot like it did when we were first starting out."
'Circuital' sees James reunited with producer Tucker Martine. The two first worked together during recording session's for Laura Veirs' (Martine's wife) 'July Flame' album, with James providing vocals on four tracks.
