The film, which will be part of the Tribeca Film Fesitval, shows brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill going from the children of a Pentecostal preacher to conflicted young men to feuding, debauchery-loving rock stars. Named after a track from the band's first album, 'Youth and Young Manhood,' the movie shows them smoking cigarettes, guzzling whiskey, yelling at each other and vomiting, among other staples of rockumentaries.
Also of note are the clips of the young Followills and the interviews with their father, Ivan Leon Followill, who had raised his children to be part of the church, not famous musicians. No matter how you feel about Kings of Leon, the trailer makes the documentary look like an incredibly interesting, unsparing look at the band.
