Wolfgang Gartner Loves to DJ for 'Crazy' Canadian Crowds -- Exclusive Video

Wolfgang Gartner (aka Joey Youngman) is a Grammy-nominated producer turned DJ. Working on his first studio album, which features his signature electro-house sound with vocal cameos from Will.i.am and other hip-hop artists, Gartner seeks to bridge the two genre worlds through his music.

"The DJing definitely helps the producing," he tells Spinner. "It's good to get out there, see crowd reactions to stuff and that helps you shape your sound in the studio ... I play-test everything multiple times. It's a major advantage to be able to do that, to be able to tour and then come back home and change [a song] based on that."
