Young Man Balances College and Touring -- Exclusive Video

Colin Caulfield isn't your normal Loyola University student. The St. Paul, Minn. kid has reached the status of touring musician and successful indie rocker with his band Young Man -- all before graduating from college.

Spinner had a chat with the young Caulfield before his set at this year's SXSW festival to discuss his touring schedule, his upcoming bedroom recording and how he deals with professors.

"We've been really on top of it -- like, last semester we had to go to CMJ and to Europe in the same way, so we had to tell our professors the first day of class," Caulfield told Spinner.

"And we did the same thing this semester. At first they're like, 'Alright, whatever ... you're just in a band.' But then once they realized that it's something that we're really serious about, they get pretty excited. It's just really hard to balance and to care about school, you know, with all the stuff happening."
