As TwentyFourBit reports, this period of Young's career was characterized by experiments with rockabilly, country and electronic music, all while he was backed by an excellent live band, the International Harvesters. 'Amber Jean,' 'Let Your Fingers Do the Walking,' 'Soul of a Woman,' 'Nothing Is Perfect' and 'Grey Riders' constitute the five never-before-released tracks on 'A Treasure,' with the latter being the first single.
In a funny, rambling, lo-fi promotional video for the album, Young explains that the Blu-ray version features audio paired with videos that were found, in many cases, on the Internet and sometimes don't even sync up properly with the music. For instance, sometimes the footage gets lost halfway through, or the visual features a different musician than is actually playing. 'A Treasure' will be released as a double vinyl LP on May 24 and on CD, Blu-ray and digital formats on June 14.

April 10 2011 at 11:34 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI've been a fan of Neil Young for forty years. My favorite "lost" songs are: "Bad News is Coming to Town", "Citizen Kane", and another anti-Vietnam tune that I'd like to know the title to ,( around 1973?)"...In the morning when you wake up,you've got planes flying in the sky. Falling bombs make you break up, I can see it by the light that's in your eyes. There's a man ... Yes he can ... put an end to war.(bridge) They shot George Wallace down, he'll never walk around, minds are sleeping in the streets, blow those buildings down, burn those bridges down, kill those Vietnamese..."

April 10 2011 at 7:14 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf you want to hear a great album, get "Ragged Glory", with Crazy Horse.....I am not a rabid fan of Neil, but this album is fantastic and his guitar work is a brilliant mess.
