Branching out from his musical duties, Picker directed the song's heartbreaking video with the help of Jerry Stifelman and his CreatoDestructo Crew. The clip illustrates Lost in the Trees' delicate homage to fleeting love and dysfunction through backwoods drama and whimsical forest scenery.
"The video is a visual symphony of sometimes disturbing, other times beautiful imagery," Picker tells Spinner. "It follows the song's progression from bitterness to redemption -- from shotgun-knife standoff to a night sky filled with rising lanterns. It required band members to endure hardships like hanging from a tree between flaming ropes and being dragged facedown through dirt and leaves."
'All Alone in an Empty House' is available now via Anti records.
