Last month Spinner reported guitarist Dave Davies was open to a reunion but it was ultimately "down to Ray." However, given he also labelled his brother a "vain, egocentric, narcissistic a---hole," it's fair to say there are no guarantees that the pair's long-running feud won't once again scupper the return of the Kinks.
Now, in response to his brother's challenge, Ray Davies has told Rolling Stone, "I'm seeing Dave next week. I hear that Dave is saying stuff in the press like, 'I'll do it, but Ray doesn't want to do it.' This is me saying, 'Ray will do it if Dave does it'."
Speculation surrounding the reunion originally resurfaced last year after Ray Davies was named curator of Meltdown 2011.
