Andreya Triana Harnesses the Power of Improvisation -- Exclusive Video

British singer-songwriter Andreya Triana takes genre-bending to a new level by mixing elements of soul and electronica. The self-taught singer's first record, 'Lost Where I Belong,' is rich with R&B revivalism which enabled her to work with acclaimed producers Flying Lotus and Bonobo. Triana spoke with Spinner about going undercover at open-mic nights and how she practices for signature live improvisations.

"The practice is just getting with musicians and just jamming and having no set agenda, no like 'Ah, let's record this, let's do that,' just getting with people that you admire and just playing, you know, and just being free," she tells Spinner. "That's the best practice you can get."
