David Letterman Deeply Touched by Foo Fighters' Track -- Music Appreciation

Though the band was on hand to promote their new album, 'Wasting Light,' they stuck around for a web-only performance of 'Everlong,' a song from their sophomore album which Letterman found deeply inspirational while recovering from emergency heart surgery in 2000.
"The song has always meant something incredibly personal and intimate and important to me and my family," he said, clearly touched to have the Foo Fighters perform his favorite song.
