LCD Soundsystem to Release Final Concert as DVD

LCD Soundsystem mastermind James Murphy will be releasing his final show held earlier this month in New York at Madison Square Garden as a DVD.

Murphy announced the news while responding to a fan who had posted "Final concert DVD?" on LCD Soundsystem's Facebook page, as reported by Consequence of Sound.

"We will! We filmed it! I need to mix the music and then they need to edit between all the cameras!" he wrote.

Though the outfit bid fans adieu on April 2 with a three and a half hour set, which included a guest appearance by Arcade Fire, it seems that LCD groupies won't have to go cold turkey just yet.

This DVD of the sold-out arena concert and Murphy's live DJ slot at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Spain, in June -- Four Tet, Dizzee Rascal and Cut Copy are also on the bill -- should tide folks over while the frontman plots his next move.
