On a stage impressively lit and with hanging black drapes, Li then latterly wove lyrics from the Eurythmics' hit 'Never Gonna Cry Again,' into her encore performance of 'Youth Knows No Pain' -- reciting the lines, "I shed some tears for you / I shed more tears for you than the ocean / I didn't wanna let you know ... I didn't want to hang around you."
Earlier in a show that echoed the smoke and mirrors live show of fellow Swede Karin Dreijer Andersson, aka Fever Ray and Knife frontwoman, the pop star broke down her track 'Rich Kid Blues' into The Knife's synth classic 'Silent Shout' accompanied by her band on percussion instruments, surrounded by flashing strobes.
In a bold move, the singer introduced a previously unreleased track into the setlist, one which she claimed "did not make the album, but made it here tonight."
The UK section of her tour continues this week, with sold out dates in Leeds' Cockpit (April 15), Dublin's Tripod (16), The Glasgow Arches (18) and Manchester's Academy 2 (19), before she heads to the US.
