In Their Words: "My favorite thing about [director] Michael Mann is his depiction of Los Angeles. In 'Heat' and in 'Collateral,' he presented the city in a way that was ethereal and beautiful in its grittiness; taking 'Blade Runner' and stripping away the science from the fiction. That's how it feels to me when I'm moving through these streets: Everything is cinema.
