"'Give Me Something' was not only the first track we recorded for the album, it was also one of the first tracks we worked on as a band, so it's quite fitting for us that it's our debut release," Bemrose tells Spinner. "I suppose it was written with the view of everlasting love in mind. Even the very best of relationships can go through difficult times but if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. There's nothing more we can do other than love, love, love."
The video for 'Give Me Something' follows a young couple going through the throes of love, going steady and eventually breaking up under the same oak tree where they kindled their relationship.
"It was filmed in Valencia, which is just outside L.A., and the place was absolutely beautiful. I don't really understand why some bands hate making music videos," Bemrose says. "We had the biggest smiles on our faces all day and every time we see the footage, it reminds us of what a great time we had with everyone who worked on it."
Scars on 45's debut album, 'Give Me Something,' is out now via Chop Shop/Atlantic.
