Eric Clapton fans will be delighted to find a reference to the guitar genius in Michael Connelly's new novel, 'The Fifth Witness.' The best-selling author pays tribute to ol' 'Slowhand' in a scene where criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller listens to 'Judgement Day,' a song from Clapton's 2010 album. "
I've tracked his career, read his autobiography, watched him play live and listened to his recordings it seems for all of my life," Connelly wrote on his
website. And it appears Clapton follows his career, too, as the rocker
reached out to thank his new novelist pal Connelly for the literary shout-out.
