Video: 'Berlin Wall'
Highlight: "We love what Minneapolis artist Kristoffer West Johnson did with 'Berlin Wall,'" the Heavenly States' Genevieve Gagon tells Spinner. "We've worked with him before and he's a real mind-reader, an amazing artist. The Humpty Dumpty character as sung by Britt Daniel of Spoon has this schoolhouse rock quality that turns the song into an ominous lesson. Kris really got it right with those Fourth of July fireworks. One of the other major themes in the song is cannibalism, and that works with the birds and egg and the King/chef frying it all up.There's a cannibalistic transference taking place all around. But no fluids were exchanged in the making of this video. Only eggs."
