"When I started to draw and paint, I didn't have like, let's say, a direct influence. But after, it [was] soon clear to me that I was really into patterns, and patterns refer to primitive art," Poirier tells Spinner. "So either it can be like North American, South American, aboriginal from Australia. It all [has] the same idea of patterns and repetition. And basically this is what I do also in music: patterns and repetition."
