Hollerado Brave Umbrella 'Obstacle Course' for 'Got to Lose' -- Video Premiere

Montreal rock outfit Hollerado is always prepared to face the toughest storm –- with a couple of handy umbrellas, of course. The indie band has been through a whirlwind tour over the last year, traveling to China and beyond to promote their creative 2010 release 'Record in a Bag,' which includes 'Got to Lose,' a Weezer-like anthem that is sure to get you singing in the rain.

The song's video, directed by Greg Jardin, is filled with swooping camera angels and an 18-girl dance troupe known as the Atomic Cherry Bombs, with choreography by international Lindy Hop champion Nikki Marvin and her partner Evonne Marvin.

"Making these one-take videos with Greg makes us feel like we are in elementary school gym-class," lead singer Menno Versteeg tells Spinner of the clip, which was shot in Los Angeles on the Jim Henson stage. "This shoot was basically a giant obstacle course that we had to try and figure out before our two days of shooting time expired."

"It was incredible to shoot a video in the studio that Charlie Chaplin built almost 100 years ago," he continues. "The same place where Jim Henson would later create the characters that would shape the creative consciousness of my generation. How else could I explain the fact that I eagerly learned a choreographed dance routine involving an umbrella?"

"I also found it funny that the two days of the year that it rains in Los Angeles happened to be the same two days that we shot a video where the only props were 53 umbrellas. Maybe it was Charlie Chaplin's way of wishing us good luck."
