After featuring guests such as Quincy Jones and Travis Barker, Montreal indie rockers the Dears stopped by the franchise's Hollywood, Calif. store to perform tracks from their fifth album, 'Degeneration Street.'
"The Dears episode is a perfect example of what we're aiming for with the 'At: Guitar Center' podcasts," Harcourt tells Spinner. "As an extension of the our award-winning television show 'Guitar Center Sessions,' we're looking to do more than just provide listeners with a general overview on what an artist has going on. These podcasts are about delving deeper and, by doing so, hopefully inspiring musicians by providing a window into the creative process. No noise -– no advertisers -- just the stories behind the great artists of our time, told from their perspective."
"The way that song came together was like a perfect ... when you imagine collaboration going well, just like that, and the band getting their hands on it and taking it to the next level," guitarist Patrick Krief says of the song in the video.
Check out the intimate clip below and check the podcast's website for the Dears' performance of 'Thrones.' 'Degeneration Street' is out now via Dangerbird Records.
