Silent League

After three full-lengths -- including 2010's 'But You've Always Been the Caretaker' -- Brooklyn, N.Y.'s the Silent League are still having trouble keeping quiet. The band, formed in 2004 by former Mercury Rev keyboardist Justin Russo, has included 25 different members in its short existence and somehow still manages to keep churning out new material.

Now the Silent League are releasing 'We Go Forward,' an EP that contains remixes of 'Caretaker' songs by the likes of Neon Indian and Memory Tapes, as well as several covers, including a take on Broken Social Scene's 'Texico Bitches.'

"We're huge B.S.S. fans and started playing this song in rehearsals for the fun of it," Russo tells Spinner. "It was recorded on tour in the UK by Christian Silva of Leisure Society, with James from MAPS and some friendly string players."

The Silent League's 'We Go Forward' EP will be available May 16 in both the US and UK.
