Eddie Vedder Premieres New Video for 'Longing to Belong'

Years ago, a video featuring Eddie Vedder standing near water playing a ukulele would have seemed like some sort of joke. But times have changed. Pearl Jam are celebrating their 20th anniversary and their frontman has earned enough artistic credibility to pull something like the new video for 'Longing to Belong' off without fans having meltdowns.

The song is from Vedder's 'Ukulele Songs,' his second solo album that's due out May 30 and features originals and covers performed on the titular instrument. The song's video features visuals of crashing waves, Vedder performing the song and what appears to be flashbacks to an old romance.

The video debuted on iTunes on Tuesday and now you can check it out below. Vedder will tour behind 'Ukulele Songs' this summer with the Swell Season's Glen Hansard opening.
