Ben Sollee Just Wants to Get 'Close to You' -- Video Premiere

Cello-toting Kentucky lad Ben Sollee will ride his penny-farthing through the desert and beyond if he can just get 'Close to You.' The Louisville singer's newest record, 'Inclusions,' explores the connections between himself and his community, and the relationships that make up a town. 'Close to You' carries that point further with Sollee's love-weary voice and expressive ukulele chugging through the tune like a train.

Directed by LC Crowley and filmed by School of Humans, the video for 'Close to You' was done in one take with the help of 80 volunteers to provide a constantly moving backdrop for Sollee and his high-wheel.

"The making of 'Close to You' was a community effort... it took a village of folks to animate an entire landscape around the bicycle," Sollee tells Spinner. "And, it would have been easy to just edit something together but the director, LC Crowley, really wanted to capture a performance. So, what we captured was a single, uncut take. It took over 80 friends, fans and volunteers to make this happen and I'm real proud of it."

The singer is currently on a US tour in support of 'Inclusions' -- available May 10 via Thirty Tigers.
