Ray LaMontagne Performs 'Live on Letterman' -- Video

Something of a true American idol himself, albeit in a much different way, LaMontagne presented his own awe-inspiring music on Wednesday (May 10) when he performed at CBS' Ed Sullivan Theater for a special 'Live on Letterman' taping. The full concert was live-streamed as part of the recent 'Live on Letterman' concert series, and will now remain available online for repeated viewings. That's good news because this is one of those shows you'll want for repeated viewings.

Sang it better than Ray too, but ended up making a name for Ray. But Taylors very busy and doing great. Saw a couple of his sold out shows lately.

You're wrong about when Taylor sang the song. He didn't sing Trouble on the finals of Idol but about the fourth week in. He wanted to sing a song that showed his vocal range and made people take him seriously. It was one of his finest performances on his way to winning the title.
