"When my album and Lindsey [Buckingham's] albums come to a stop, then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we'll either make another record or we won't and we'll just go on tour,'' the singer told Perez Hilton (via Gigwise).
Nicks released her seventh solo effort, 'In Your Dreams,' in May. She will play the final show of a brief tour in support of the record on Saturday in Las Vegas. Buckingham, meanwhile, has a sixth LP in the pipeline. 'Seeds We Sow' is due out in September.
Fleetwood Mac last released an album in 2003, titled 'Say You Will.' The group undertook a world tour in 2009, but did not release any new material. The current lineup of the group has been consistent since 1998, when keyboard player Christine McVie left after 28 years of service.
If the band do issue a new album next year, it will be their 19th studio effort.

Does anyone know why Christine McVie isn't involved in the newest reunion?

May 15 2011 at 8:22 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyFleetwood Mac was one of the best bands of the 1970's - 1980's! They had a signature sound all their own! (I saw the original FM in Detroit in 1970 at the Grande Ballroom.) Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks are two of R&R's best female vocalists
ever! FM has a quality you do not see or hear in today's "music". ((Ga-ga is a Madonna "rehash".....)
Mommy Superior !!! The phrase ( 28 years of service ) could be used in a number of ways !!!! I'm sure Matt Glazebrook did not intend to belittle our men and women in our military. Either you like Fleetwood Mac or you don't. At least the music back in the " 70's " is better than most of the music of today. The way things are going today I for one am glad to see the past return when things were not so bad. DY

May 15 2011 at 8:12 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhere is Christine McVee?
May 15 2011 at 8:10 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyShe lives in England. Wonderful woman. Without Chris, the group would never have made it as big as they did. Beautiful voice! Also, most of the big hit songs (You make loving fun and Say you love me etc.) were written and sung by Chris. Oh, did I mention--she was a beautiful long-legged doll??!! Sexy Babe!!??
