With blazing nylon strings, 10-ton bells and the string arrangements of the one and only Hans Zimmer ('Inception,' 'The Dark Knight'), the soundtrack to 'On Stranger Tides' is shaping up to be quite the combination of Mexican symphonics and a classical aesthetic.
"Pirates -- basically they are the rock 'n' rollers of many years ago. And then you think of Gabriela and Rodrigo playing basic flamenco guitars but not playing it with a flamenco attitude at all, but really they come from heavy metal. The film's music also features remixes by Ki: Theory and Photek and trumpet contributions from jazz legend Arturo Sandoval. The 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' soundtrack and is available now via Disney.
