The Vaccines Fire Back at Beady Eyes' Liam Gallagher

Beady Eyes' Liam Gallagher is known for a lot of things, some more than others. And while his older fan base may still hold out hope for an Oasis reunion, one thing is clear: Gallagher will not be collaborating with young upstarts the Vaccines anytime soon. This past December, before the Vaccines even had a full-length album under their belt, Gallagher blasted the fast-rising band as "boring" in a print edition of NME Magazine.

Now that the band has not only an album but a certified bestseller in the U.K. (it shot straight to Number Four on the charts), they've fired back. Tastefully. And with precision. Speaking to Rolling Stone this week, frontman Justin Young shrugged off Gallagher's criticism with the kind of casual aplomb worthy of a true challenger. "Words are his weapon, not mine," he said. "I think I've made a better record than he has."

And that, kids, is how rivalries begin. The Vaccines' debut album, 'What Did You Expect From the Vaccines?,' will hit U.S. shelves on May 31 -- and it's anything but boring.

I just got introduced to the Vaccines a couple of weeks ago and haven't stopped listening to them since! Vaccines who? is that some kind of illness? did anyone tell the Vaccines that they are support band of Beady Eye in Belfast and not the contrary?
