Amy Winehouse Checks Into Rehab Again, Release of New Album Delayed

Winehouse's representatives confirmed that she "has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors' advice."
Unfortunately, this throws a wrench into the release schedule of her new album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2007's smash hit 'Back to Black.'
Winehouse's label, Island Records, have confirmed that the album is indeed finished, according to People (via NME): "She has finally finished the album and it's ready to go," said a source. "They were just about to finalise a release date and then this happened. She is back in rehab for the foreseeable future so it is just a question of waiting and seeing now. But there is no way they can give a specific release date until they know when she is likely to be out."
Allegedly, Amy's father Mitch Winehouse was the one who urged her to once again seek help. Mitch recently told Spinner that "She doing better now. She has been clean for two and a half years, about that. I'm not saying her problems have gone away, because they haven't. She's dealing with it."
And, according to the ever-reliable UK tabloids, a "friend" said that Amy downed a small bottle of Smirnoff vodka on the way to the Priory Clinic, a London facility that has helped other celebrities such as Ronnie Wood and Kate Moss.
In lieu of adding on to the tired punch lines, we'll just say we hope it works out for her this time.

Hi Amy. I wish you all the best. you know that your a real Star as do I and millions of others. i left my first wife for Jack Daniels. my second wife for Jim Beam. it's touch and go about my third wife. and a much weaker version of Carona and a slice of lime. one good thing about my drink is their always at home when i get there no matter how late i get there. So Amy whatever decision you make. i'm with you all the way. i picked up one of your shoes from outside Harrods one night a couple of years ago. it's beautiful but it just won't fit. I really miss little Miss Winehouse, the world needs her raw, unadulterated talent; the truth, confusion, misery and profound sadness in her lyric, song and voice...thats art .... see real art/talent will move you to do more than just shake your ass, it will permiate the soul, move you to tears, pull you back from the brink....maybe even make you think. As I watch the arts die I'm reminded how how fortunate we are to have lived in an era where true talent can still be found. Please bear in mind that we all have crosses to bear. As her battle with addiction wages on I'm rooting for her victory.
