According to Exclaim, the band are getting the censorship treatment from stateside grocery stores. Turner isn't naming names, though. "They think it is rude, disrespectful they're putting a sticker over it in America in certain stores, big ones," the singer told Xfm.

The British indie rockers are currently on tour throughout Europe and North America in support of 'Suck it and See' (available June 7 via Domino). Hopefully the boys will get this all sorted out in time for the release. Are you offended by the album cover?

For those who are claiming this band is crap, you are so incredibly wrong. Their first album was the fastest selling album in the UK ever the year it was released, and their last 3 albums have all been amazing. They have changed their sound consistently, and any person who actually knew of Arctic Monkeys would understand that the song "Brick by Brick" is just a simple, fun song for them, and is not supposed to be a showcase of their talent.
As for the censorship, this is ridiculous. I've seen far worse that wasn't censored. All the people who are afraid of the children seeing something like this are overprotective and need to wake up the real world. Eventually your kid is going to realize that there is such a thing called "sex" in this world.
And by the way, the title isn't supposed to be suggestive in the first place. It's been taken the wrong way in America.
This band is the best band of the 21st century, i mean just listen to No buses or Too much to ask.

June 02 2011 at 1:39 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyCorrect grammar is a good thing. "try" should be capitalized being the first word of a sentence. The comma after "non-offensive" is misused. "literacy is a good thing" should be a separate sentence with the first word capitalized. You get a D in grammar. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. (The English teacher)

There's no need to add yet another tidbit of suggestionism to an out of control list of so-called music, videos and movies in general!! I have to be very careful when renting a movie or going to the theatre with my young daughter because things are so full of suggestive and or outright vulgar behaviors and words that without warning, the stuff pops right up on the screen and it's too late to take it back! Things have gotten way out of control for exposure and it's the minds and developement of young and old alike that are affected in very negative ways!!!

June 02 2011 at 12:36 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyFact: Anyone who understands the inference already is not innocent of the meaning.
Puritanically hiding the inference does not protect anyone who already understands the basic subject.
So, only a sick need to control others and hide from what you already know, because your mind was controlled by equally puritanical control freaks is driving this need to repress.
