Mom + Pop Music
As this tour winds down, we've taken a lot of time to reflect on the last year and a half: seven (or was it eight?) tours of the US and Canada, three of the UK and one of Europe -- and still so many places to play and so many people to meet. We're winding down what has been a seemingly nonstop tour of 'Weathervanes,' and really looking forward to working on a new album, you know, so we can play at all those old and new places and (hopefully) see all those old and new people.
The tour is ending much as it began, full of mixed emotions and internal contradictions. Eagerness to spend some time at home, and sadness at leaving our new friends in Foals and the Naked and Famous. Anticipation of the unknown sophomore album to come, and reticence to step briefly away from the familiar faces in the crowds as we travel the country. But, most of all, we're humbled by the boundless support of our fans and friends that have come out to see us play time and time again, and we're excited to have twice as many songs to play the next time we hit the road.
