Paul McCartney to Perform at Yankee Stadium in July

Two years after hitting Citi Field for a three-night stand and just over six months after rocking a star-studded gig at the Apollo, Paul McCartney is heading back to New York City. This time, the former Beatle will head to Yankee Stadium for what will certainly be a blockbuster concert on July 15.

The latest high-paid act to take his talents to the House That Ruth Built (that's a baseball joke), Sir Paul will use the event to kick off his 2011 "On the Run" tour. No other dates have been announced yet, but the Chicago Tribune that he'll perform at Wrigley Field now that the stadium has been approved to hold concerts on July 31 and Aug. 1.

Tickets for the show will go on sale Monday at 11AM ET. Prices have yet to be revealed.
