Liam Gallagher's Bodyguard 'Arrested Over Death Threats'

Liam Gallagher's bodyguard Steve Allen has been arrested after allegedly sending death threats to a former business partner and his girlfriend. He apparently mailed them bullets and a note reading "Drop the case, or the next case will be yours."

The Mirror reports the letters were sent to solicitor Sam Berry and girlfriend Claire Humphries, who were due to give evidence against Allen in a civil case -- one of three cases currently lodged against the bodyguard and his company.

A spokesman for Hampshire police confirmed they have "arrested a man on suspicion of threats to kill and he has been bailed."

Allen, a father of five, has been friends with Gallagher for more than 10 years. The Daily Echo report that he was part of the Oasis entourage at their first-ever live concert.

Aside from minding the band Beady Eye, he manages several businesses on behalf of the singer: Film company Savile Row Films, production company In 1 Productions and clothing brand Pretty Green. He has worked on security for artists including Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, Blur and Pulp.

Allen's website states: "Steven has built an internationally recognised reputation over the past 18 years for seasoned judgement in management risks, personal security and crowds. After leaving the British armed forces Steve spent three years with UN operations and foreign royal family protection."
