Bon Iver Get Strange in 'Calgary' Video

Bon Iver's latest single 'Calgary' is an analog-synth-filled throwback ballad that features Justin Vernon's classic chamber vocals and scary distortion. Now, the song gets an interesting, odd video treatment from Picture Machine Productions.

It seems as though Vernon has taken a few cues from his always-unique buddy Kanye West, as the video for 'Calgary' explores a whimsically weird realm. Directed by Andre Durand and Dan Huiting, the clip begins with a hologram woman turning into flesh, descending through her bed into a swamp.

What follows isn't quite understandable, as the woman meets another forest man and they subsequently have a wedding ceremony surrounded by well-dressed hipsters. Oh, and there's also a strange two-legged bear at the end.

Bon Iver's self-titled second album is set for release on June 21 via Jagjaguwar. Check out the video of 'Calgary' below.
