Liam Gallagher Won't Be Attending Brother Noel's Wedding

The two haven't spoken since Noel walked out on Oasis in 2009 and Liam now insists that he hasn't been invited to the wedding -- despite reports that Noel wanted him to be there.
Asked by the Chicago Sun-Times if he would be in attendance, Liam said, "No, I'm busy playing gigs in Chicago. He goes on about how he wasn't invited to my wedding. No one was at my wedding but Nic's [wife Nicole Appleton] mum and my mum. Get over it, mate. I've not been invited to his wedding. I'll be in Chicago. I'll come cry about it to Oprah."
Elsewhere in the interview Gallagher spoke of the difference of working without his brother. He said, "He made a lovely cup of tea. [Laughs] No, I mean, Noel's a great songwriter, but so's Gem and Andy, and I'm getting there. Andy's better than Noel on guitar. People have this f---ing bee in their bonnet because Noel's not there. We're not lacking anything. We've got great songwriters in the band. I'm not going to paint on big eyebrows to make people happy."
As for Beady Eye's future plans, the frontman said, "We're definitely doing a second record when the tour ends. We'll get it out next year. We like putting out songs in the summer. We're not going to rush it, but we're not going to [mess] about with it. The tunes we've got so far are absolutely big."

I'm thinking, that with the way these two have gotten along over the years, it would be news if he WERE attending the wedding.

They were never more than a very poor Lennon impersonation to begin with. The most derivative and annoying band to come out of England since....ever.

I have two that informed the family, in cowardly fashion, after they got married. No sense of family spirit or kindness. Now their sons are fowllowing in their fathers footsteps. No sense of tradition or caring. Get used to it.
June 19 2011 at 1:43 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOasis was a good band and much bigger in Europe .. sorry Liam and Noel are at each other like this but I can't help but wonder if Liam's ego got in the way. he went as far as saying that OASIS was better than the Beatles/ Who/ / Stones.. that is a HUGE ego and a HUGE mistake.. They did an interesting cover of ' I am the Walrus' and seeing them on you tube , Noel seemed to really care about playing and Liam just stood there and looked at the audience / rather REGARDED the audience .. it does take two to tango but it seems that Liam should learn a litlle humility
