The UK soul singer may be currently celebrating her 10th week atop the US album charts, but the producer of five tracks on her second long-player '21' reckons there is more success still to come.
Speaking to Billboard, Rubin revealed there could be five singles due from the set. "And she's barely toured at all, so really it's in the baby stages. I think it's a beautiful album that we're all really proud of, and it's amazing that it's connecting with people in the way that it is and we just hope it continues to do so."
'21' has gone double platinum in the States and the influential producer admitted its success had surprised him, something he put down to her emotional rawness. "She is an incredible singer," he said. "She bares her soul in her songwriting, and it's the real thing. She uses her vocal instrument in a way that we don't get to hear a lot. What she is doing, it's a very pure expression of herself and it resonates with people. There is no trickery involved. It's a really honest album."
As reported previously in Spinner, the co-chairman of Adele's label Columbia Records has been working on a new Red Hot Chili Peppers' album -- 'I'm With You' -- due in August. He is also due to reunite with Metallica, following their recent collaboration with Lou Reed.
Rubin is also keeping tabs on the current songwriting of Linkin Park, working on a follow-up to 2010's 'A Thousand Suns,' with the ever-busy producer also due to work with Kid Rock, newly-inked American signings ZZ Top and the Avett Brothers.
