"Our goal is to show the little-known events and influences that resulted in Madonna becoming the phenomenon she remains to this day, more than a quarter-century after she burst upon the scene," Bluewater's executive VP, Jason Schultz, told the AP. The story-line, written by C.W. Cooke and illustrated by Michael Johnson, will focus on her real life transformation from an unknown hopeful into an international superstar.
Of course, Madonna will not be the first musical act to have her own comic book. The format was particularly embraced by the upper echelon of heavy metal, glam rock and hair bands in the '80s -- comic books featuring plots involving Kiss were followed by a series of collectable Rock 'n' Roll Comics, published by Revolutionary, that featured the graphic rise-to-fame tales of Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses, Def Leppard, Motley Crue and others.
The Female Force series, on the other hand, focuses on subjects who, as the name implies, are female forces to be reckoned with. Not quite the decadent tales of rock 'n' roll exploits, past issues have spotlighted Michelle Obama, Margaret Thatcher, Barbara Walters and Sarah Palin.

It's true she's an Icon...they don't get much more famous than Madonna.
