Robert Pollard's Boston Spaceships Debut 'Let It Beard' Trailer -- Video Premiere

Even with the reunion tour of the "Classic Lineup" of Guided by Voices continuing months longer than anticipated, Robert Pollard somehow found time to release two solo albums so far in 2011, and he has three other LPs planned to come out this year.

The next one will be from his project Boston Spaceships, which features multi-instrumentalist and former GBV member Chris Slusarenko and Decemberists drummer John Moen. Later this summer, they'll release 'Let It Beard,' a double album that Pollard referred to as "a subconscious concept album about the sorry state of rock and roll."

With plenty of short tracks that could fit on a classic GBV album, the 26-song 'Let It Beard' also features strings, a female soul singer, horns and guest spots by J Mascis, Dream Syndicate's Steve Wynn, Wire's Colin Newman, the Gories' Mick Collins and GBV axeman Mitch Mitchell.
