Adele Plans More 'Acoustic' Approach on Next Album

For her next album Adele is planning a simpler more acoustic approach, the singer has revealed. However it's not just the sound on the follow-up to '21' Adele will change -- she also intends to take on recording, production and mastering duties herself.

Speaking to Q magazine (via Contactmusic), she explained, "I've accumulated some things to write about again. I'd go into the studio tomorrow if I could. It won't be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it all, produce it all and master it on my own.

"I think it'll take a lot longer because I want to do it this way. When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it.

Despite the inevitable external pressures to replicate the success of the six-million-selling '21', Adele remains unfazed. "I don't really care about expectations. There was enough of it with this record. If you deliver the songs I think you get away with it. I'm not bothered. I'm not expecting my next record to be as big as this one. That's impossible."

I bought your cd on day while I was at Target. Not knowing who the artist was or why I was gonna buy it. I came home and I put it on my computer to listen to the songs. I love her voice, I love her lyrics to her songs. I had my daughter listen and we did not get passed the first song with her. She is 27 I am 53. Well one day I was in her car and she turned up her radio and said I love this song, and yes ADELE it was. So I am and I am sure she also will be looking forward to more cd recordings of new songs. Keep on singing you are awesome.

I love Adele and her music. I have been listening to her songs before they came out on the radio.She is an excellent performer and she is great. I would love to meet her someday but i know that is impossible. My birthday is July 20th and i will be 52. I am a 2x Lung Cancer survivior and just found out that my cancer may be back. Doing more blood tests and everything all over again. Not looking forward to that. I just hope it's not back or anywhere else in my body. If i had a wish, it would be to meet Adele and have her sing to me. I love all her songs. She is beautiful in all ways.

Haunting and fantastic performance. One of the best newer recording artists. Look forward to her having a long future in the business.
