Lily Allen Reportedly Writing 'Bridget Jones' Diary' Musical

Her pop career may be on hold indefinitely but that hasn't stopped Lily Allen from penning new songs for other projects. According to reports, the pregnant singer -- who is concentrating on starting a family with new husband Sam Cooper -- is writing material for the new 'Bridget Jones' Diary' musical.

Speaking to Elle magazine (via Gigwise), the 26-year-old said: "I'm still writing. I'm just writing for other people. I've nearly finished a musical. I think it'll be out sometime next year."

Despite missing performing, Allen feels her responsibilities lie at home for the time being, so touring for months on end isn't a notion she's willing to entertain.

She explained: "I can't commit to going on tour for seven months and leaving Sam. I really miss singing my songs to people and seeing the reaction on their faces. It's one of the most special things you can do, or it was for me."
