Though Cleopatra Records signed the musical icon several years ago, nothing has come of that deal until now (we can't help but wonder if Stone's shady personal life is to blame). According to Exclaim, the forthcoming album reportedly features the Family Stone (who parted ways with their funky leader back in the '70s) and marks Stone's first output since 1982's 'Ain't But the One Way.'
There might not be tons of new material on the disc, but it does include some "reworking" from Stone and the fam and their superstar friends such as Doors organist Ray Manzarek (on 'Dance to the Music'), Bootsy Collins (on 'Hot Fun in the Summertime,' which you can hear here) and Jeff Beck.
So while you're waiting you may as well 'Dance to the Music'!
