According to Contactmusic, the singer-guitarist said, "We're trying to blag a free trip on it [Virgin Galactic]. I'm going to try to convince Richard Branson to let us make a music video or record a song up there. I think that would be cool. Would I be scared? I think I'll be alright."
Bellamy has a long-held fascination with astronomy so was delighted when he received a telescope after playing a recent show in Moscow. He said, "The crowd in Moscow were probably the most intense we've ever had. They were going mental and they bought me a big telescope."
He continued, "It's a big, real, serious piece. I set it up when I got home and looked at the moon. F---ing hell, have you ever looked at the moon through a telescope? It's all mountains and stuff, it's unbelievable."

Wish our band would have thought of this - doing absolutely nothing and getting free publicity

July 11 2011 at 4:03 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThey could leave them there in space..wouldn't matter..never heard of them..Why..WHY does AOL feature these bands who have 3 fans?? If that many?..Is it because there aren't any decent bands anymore??
July 11 2011 at 3:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyyou obviously have no knowledge of music whatsoever.
July 11 2011 at 5:34 AM Report abuse Permalink -2 rate up rate down ReplyI bet I could throw you under the table with music knowledge..Just don't pay attention to noise. Ever heard of Charlie Parker? Or Vivaldi? Or even The Five Man Electrical Band? True, I ain't twentysomething..but I guarantee that noone will know who this band was in 50 years, while they still talk about The Beatles or The Stones..etc...my point!
