Over the course of the four-night voyage, passengers can enjoy seeing Weezer play one indoor show and one outdoor show, get their picture taken with the band and be a part of an exclusive Q&A, as well as gain general admission to the rest of the shows in the lineup. The supporting bands will be playing on various stages around the fully functional cruise liner.
According to the Weezer Cruise website, "Prices start at $799 per person for double cabins, or pile in four people for just $599 per person plus $179 for taxes and port fees. Only $199 per person secures your spot onboard and with a payment plan available." Sounds pretty rad.
Tickets will go on pre-sale on Tuesday, July 19, but you need to sign up beforehand to be eligible. Tickets are available to the general public Aug. 3.
In other wacky Weezer news, the band has just announced that it will be sharing a stage with the Flaming Lips -- literally. With their equipment set up side-by-side, the two bands will trade of songs for the entirety of the concert. The bands will be playing together for two dates: Thursday, July 28 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey and Friday, July 29th at Jones Beach in New York. Yeasayer will open both dates.
