When asked by the NME the strangest place the band had played, the singer responded, "In the early days [of the band] it was notorious that the Killers played at transvestite bars."
Such gender-bending beginnings may very well still be having an effect. Speaking to the NME after the T in the Park festival in Scotland over the weekend, the avowedly heterosexual Calvin Harris declared the Killers frontman as "hot."
The Killers are currently ploughing their way through the European summer music festival calendar, but a return to the studio is in the cards. Drummer Ronnie Vannucci, who is currently promoting his new album with side project Big Talk, recently told us that the band is "a month and a half" into the recording process of the Killers' fourth album.
