It is understood that the couple will then fly to New York to celebrate their union with Shevell's family and friends. A friend of McCartney's was quoted by the paper saying, "Paul loves Nancy very much, but does not want a big wedding."
You can't really blame Sir Paul for wanting a modest ceremony. His previous wedding to Heather Mills took place in the grounds of Ireland's Castle Leslie in 2002. Around 300 guests attended the lavish ceremony which included Beatle Ringo Starr. Thousands of pounds were reportedly spent on flowers and a spectacular firework display as well as team of security guards. The couple separated just four years later and Mills was awarded £24.3m in the divorce in 2008.
Sir Paul proposed to Shevell in May with a vintage Cartier diamond ring.

And don't say money, because money can't by you love lol
I'm sure his kids, once again, are just doing cartwheels over this one

Both have been previously maried and divorced before. Being a divorced woman, myself, I'd want the same thing. Or, I'd just elope somewhere, perhaps Las Veges or Maryland. You go, Paul and Nancy. And, I think this marriage is going t last.

July 20 2011 at 3:08 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyStill think he is a class act... Talent and hard work combined to make him(and the Beatles) a success. He was married for a long time to Linda and had a family to boot --hard when you are in the spotlight like they were. Heather Mills was a mistake. I hope they are happy.

I don't know him personally, but he seems like a wonderful person who found the right one the first time. When Linda died, I am sure Sir Paul's life fell apart. So the second wife, went in looking for money, and tricked him into thinking she was a nice person. Beings Sir Paul never knew how ruthless some people can be, he went into that marriage under false pretences. I hope he took what he learned from the second wife and now has his eyes as open as his heart.
