Feist Offers First 'Glimpse' Via Video Teaser of Her New Album, 'Metals,' Out Oct. 4

UPDATE: Feist confirmed today, July 25, that Oct. 4 will be the release date of her hotly anticipated new album titled 'Metals.' According to Pitchfork, the 12-song record was recorded in Toronto and Big Sur, and features frequent Feist collaborators Chilly Gonzales and Mocky.

You can announce your new record with an adjective-laden press release, or, you can do what '1,2,3,4' singing sensation Feist has done, and unleash an album trailer.

The teaser clip posted below is a "glimpse," according to the Toronto-based songbird, who tweeted that there was "more to come" regarding the follow-up to her 2007 hit album, 'The Reminder.' The album should arrive in October (as reported by Chatelaine Magazine via Exclaim).

With a possible release date just around the corner, Feist also seems to be tuning up her website, which is where the trailer was posted Thursday (July 21). The site looks to be a work in progress, with several inactive icons, which means more videos are likely on the way. (Since we first reported this story, Feist has posted more clips, which you can watch below.)

In the meantime, we'll take what we can get from this beloved songstress (even if it does seem a touch macabre for her usual vibe) and keep our eyes peeled for more from Feist land.
